In the C's/Heat game at the Garden on 2/13 Paul put up 1 point. 1 point! Check out these numbers since then...
2/16 vs NJ...94-80 Win, 31 points.
2/22 @ GS...115-93 Win, 23 points.
2/24 @ Denver (Trade Deadline Game without Perk, Nate Rob, Green, or Krstic, but the C's did have that monster Chris Johnson signing!) 89-75 Loss, 17 points.
2/26 @ LAC...99-92 Win, 24 points.
2/28 @ Utah...107-102 Win, 21 points.
3/2 vs PHX...115-103 Win, 16 points. I was at this game, a blowout the whole way and KG dominated offensively, carrying the scoring load. Even with only 16 points, PP was 6-9 from the field, showing he was on his game, they just didn't need 20+.
3/4 vs GS...107-103 Win, 27 points.
3/6 @ Mil...89-83 Win, 23 points.
On the year Pierce is averaging 19.1 ppg. Since the 1 point outing, with a break for the All-Star game (however a "break" involved competing in the 3 point contest and 11 minutes and 6 points in the game) Pierce has averaged 22.75 ppg in these last 8 games. While shooting 50.3% on the season he has went 59-109 for a 54.1% from the field. Now these numbers are not staggering, he is averaging 22.7 not 31 in the games that I'm referencing, however, the Celtics don't put 105 up every game and they also have 3 other legitimate options to which they spread the ball around. I watch the C's and Paul has been hot lately, it's obvious. That is what led me to go back and check out the stats and see that his points are up, his shooting percentage is up and he appears to be healthy. LETS GO GREEN!
